  1. Althought it’s not my local yarn store, my favourite yarn store to visit while in the UK is Loop in Islington. However after seeing all the stores listed for the GLYC it has made me want to check them all out the next time I visit the UK.

  2. I’m lucky because my LYS is The Mannings! Probably the largest yarn store in the eastern United States besides Webs. It’s amazing. And it’s located on this idyllic farmland with a creek running through it and lots of nature and it’s just lovely.

  3. I love the Loopy Ewe in Colorado USA!!!

  4. My LYS is called Purls Of Wisdom. They rock.

  5. Babes in the wool, Hull, East Yorkshire and I like shopping online.

  6. I’ve loved Loop in Islington ever since I first went, so much so that it remained my LYS even when I moved to Singapore!

  7. I have only one LYS where I live, Garnboden. It has become a very nice LYS since it change owner a couple of years ago.

  8. My favorite LYS is Garn-netto in Linköping, Sweden. They have lots of different fingering weight yarns, both basic cheaper ones and luxury ones (like Malabrigo sock).

My favourite LYS is fluph. Not only does it have fabulous yarn, it has good company, sofas and, a key ingredient for knitting… TEA! <3

  10. My favorite LYS is called MY SISTER’S YARN SHOP. it is in Akron, Ohio, about 12 miles up the road! But I have to give props to my son’s locale, Paradise Fibers in Spokane, Washington. Loved going while visiting him and his family, but they recently moved. Huge selection of wonderfulness!!

  11. Difficult to choose especially after GLYC but Wild and Woolly is my favourite.

My favourite LYS is Tricot das Cinco in Lisbon, Portugal.
In English the name of the shop would be “Five o’clock Knitting.” It’s both a yarn shop and a tea room.

My favorite LYS is Hooked in a Haddonfield, NJ. Great yarn selection and a very sweet and helpful staff.

  14. Its got to be LOOP but after reading all about the Great London Yarn Crawl I am going to visit some of the other stores

Here in Adelaide, South Australia, my favourite LYS is a brand new studio in Glenelg By The Bay: A Yarn In The Making!

  16. I like visiting the Haus of Yarn in Nashville, Tennessee. They have amazing inventory to peruse and squish.

  17. My favorite LYS is The Trading Post for Fiber Arts in Pendleton, IN. There are several yarns but mainly lots of spinning fiber of all kinds as well as very wonderful people!

  18. My LYS is Knit 2 Together in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.

It’s got a good selection of yarns but not like the London stores. My bank account breathes a sigh of relief!

  19. My favorite LYS is The Woolpack in Acton, MA. They are friendly and helpful. The selection is lovely and not crowded.

  20. My LYS is Fibre Space in Alexandria, Virginia. It’s not super close to me, but it’s always worth the hike and I love their selection.
