CH 213: Giveaways and My Edinburgh Yarn Festival Report and Haul!

Today on the podcast I’m finally getting to look back on my time at EYF, after leaving you on a bit of a cliffhanger last week. I chat about the joys of meeting some wonderful podcasters in the Blacker Yarns Podcaster Lounge, explore some new-to-me knitting podcasts, and fill you in on some of my EYF purchases! I’ve also got the name of the Interpretations Giveaway winner and some more info about the new giveaway for the Impressionists Mystery Knit Along.

Alongside an eclectic yarn range, which includes Hazel Knits, Icelandic Lopi & CoopKnits, we stock a carefully chosen selection of needles and notions. We’ve also recently launched ‘hand dyed by meadowyarn’, our very own in-house, hand-dyed yarn range. Working in our tiny dye studio, nestled in the Suffolk countryside, we are able to indulge our love of colour, producing complex tonal, kettle-dyed shades across a range of weights and bases. With regular updates our collections evolve and grow, inspired by the landscape and people around us.

AYS is a wool boutique specializing in hand dyed yarns and luxury fibres from around the world. You’ll always find a well curated collection of yarns and colors on the shelves and a friendly knowledgeable staff on hand. Some of our favorite brands include Hedgehog Fibres, SweetGeorgia Yarn, Julie Asselin, Shibui Knits and The Fibre Co. You can find A Yarn Story on Walcot Street in Bath or online at www.ayarnstory.co.uk

MKAL Giveaway!

Closes just before the first clue comes out.

Grand Prize:

  • A copy of Laine Magazine Issue 4 (which includes my new Fragments Sock pattern, along with 11 other gorgeous designs)
  • A gorgeous hard-cover knitting journal from Laine. The “My Knitting Notes” Journal is an elegant way to document your knitting journey.
  • A beautiful skein of fingering-weight yarn from the delightful Eden Cottage Yarns

I’ll also be giving away 10 more prizes: each winner can choose the pattern or collection of their choice from my designs on Ravelry!

Here’s what you need to do to be in with a chance to win:

Create a project page for The Impressionists MKAL. You can use the placeholder graphic or upload a photo of your yarn.

Post in the giveaway thread with your favourite Impressionist artist or painting. Including images is encouraged (There’s already a thread full of inspiring art as people consider yarns and colourways) but it’s not required!

I’ll draw random winners and announce them Saturday the 31st of March! Good luck!

Interpretations giveaway winner:

“Kristina Jelinek with her comment:

Seriously, what’s not to love?   Amazing patterns, phenomenal yarns– what a celebration of creativity, beauty and craft! Rose Quartz is probably my favorite, but everything is stunning.

Thank you for the opportunity to win!”

Congrats and please contact me with your Ravelry name!
