Curious Handmade Podcast Episode 45

This week I’m answering a listener question about how I juggle designing with family life.

What’s in the WIP?

A lot of secret knitting.

Next Dream Big pattern will be released next week.

Next week is the last week of the Curious Collective DKAL.

The Simple Life – a listener question

Today I’m answering a question from TanyaMarie who hosts the Sampler Girl podcast about how I balance design and knitting time with my family life.

Stay tuned to the end of the show as I draw the lucky winner of the madelinetosh Prairie yarn from commenters on last week’s episode.

Thanks so much to everyone who commented.

Lovely episode! I remember the days when my kids were small, and I totally agree that three/four is so tough… They know what they want but cannot articulate it yet, which results in great frustration for them (and the mommy as well)! Most days I was happy just getting through without anyone losing their life or limbs (only slightly exaggerating)! My husband travelled and was gone most of the week, and I didn’t have family nearby to help. You are doing well and are blessed to have a career which offers some flexibility! Thanks for sharing!!

  2. Loved listening to this podcast! I am doing a capsule wardrobe too and it has really made getting dressed easier not to mention my laundry basket it much more manageable. Thanks again for a lovely podcast.

  3. Thanks for sharing your work schedule and tips. The pomodoro technique sounds great. It’s similar to what I’ve always told my children when studying-make small, achievable goals time-wise, then treat yourself to a short burst of something fun. It’s a natural method to use when wishing to improve your memory.
