After a magical retreat in Bath, I’m back with the podcast to tell you all about it. I also have some details about the upcoming new season of The Shawl Society, and I’m excited to make a flying trip to Dublin next week for the first ever Woollinn festival!

Alongside an eclectic yarn range, which includes Hazel Knits, Icelandic Lopi & CoopKnits, we stock a carefully chosen selection of needles and notions. We’ve also recently launched ‘hand dyed by meadowyarn’, our very own in-house, hand-dyed yarn range. Working in our tiny dye studio, nestled in the Suffolk countryside, we are able to indulge our love of colour, producing complex tonal, kettle-dyed shades across a range of weights and bases. With regular updates our collections evolve and grow, inspired by the landscape and people around us.

AYS is a wool boutique specializing in hand dyed yarns and luxury fibres from around the world. You’ll always find a well curated collection of yarns and colors on the shelves and a friendly knowledgeable staff on hand. Some of our favorite brands include Hedgehog Fibres, SweetGeorgia Yarn, Julie Asselin, Shibui Knits and The Fibre Co. You can find A Yarn Story on Walcot Street in Bath or online at www.ayarnstory.co.uk

On today’s show my minimalist quest has turned to thinking about my wardrobe. I’ve also got some news about the next season of The Shawl Society, coming up very soon! My major WIP–aside from the super-secret shawls-to-be–has been Like a Cloud, and I’m flying through it!

The Impressionist MKAL is still running until the end of May, and our FO thread is bursting with fabulous shawls. (Spoiler alert!) You still have plenty of time to post your own finished object in the thread to be in for a chance to win a wonderful prize. Many knitters have easily knit each clue in a week, so if you haven’t joined and want to hop in now, you still have time!

The final reveal of the complete Impressionists Shawl is on Tuesday May 8th and you won’t need to worry about spoiler alerts on Instagram anymore.

Now that we’re back from our Australian holidays and have settled back at home in London, the autumn weather has arrived, bringing with it some ambitious daydreams about sweaters and cables and the wooliest of woolly projects. In today’s episode I chat about my visit to the Great London Yarn Crawl, my new fantasy knitting queue, some of the realities of constant design work, and more details about the exciting new retreat I’ll be hosting in May in the glorious city of Bath.
