The Knitvent Chronicles: Every collection so far

The big 2024 Knitvent launch is happening right now, and the buzz is delightful.

After over a decade of planning this surprise collection, it’s still one of my favourite creative experiments. Year after year, these collections have been my way of spreading a little joy and calm during the gift-knitting season. It’s like we’re all treating ourselves to an early present: fun new knitting design to impress the knitworthy ones in your life (shhh…the patterns are secretly easy!) with a dash of surprise to really get us into the festive spirit.

I love how it brings us all together, creating something that’s just for us as we count down to the holidays and craft presents for the people we love.

Whether you’re new to Knitvent or a long-time enthusiast, this post is for you. For newcomers, it’s a glimpse into what you might expect from this year’s collection of secret patterns. For the rest of us, it’s a little reminder of where we’ve been. Eleven years is a *lot* of patterns, and even though this year’s collection is about looking forward, I don’t mind revisiting the magic. In a way, each of these collections reflects a chapter in my knitting life so far. It’s heartwarming to look back at them all and reflect on the happiness they’ve brought.
